Seem to get 3 or 4 on the rubble south of north reef and then nothing for a hour or so then 1 or 2.. But all good size around 23cm..Not drifting at anchor. Haven't had any luck on the sand north of the reef yet and haven't been to the cockle banks this year..

yea there are a few,try around the bay flats,mouth of the Pine and the flats of Hayes Inlet.

A simple berley of blended up herrings/hardyheads/pillies etc, with prawn heads and shells mixed with some bran or pollard(you can get this from a produce store)with a splash of tuna oil and a handfull of sand,sometimes helps congregate the fish around if spec fishing,when their a bit scarce.

Just don`t over do the berlying,a handful every now and then
