resolved iPhone reports?

Hello Webby,

I have recently tried writing reports via my iPhone, but have been unable to insert photos that are stored on my phone. Is there a way that this can be done, without the use of a computer?

This is actually a limitation of the iphone not of the forum code.

Unfortunately the iOS does not support any form of web based uploads. Both the iPhone and the iPad simply block the Open File dialog and mark the buttons as grey. There is currently no known work around other than to write a custom App through the Apple App Store.

This is a highly critizied shortcoming of the iOS, as it would be really easy for websites to allow e.g. photo uploads - especially since you can take fairly good looking pics with the iPhone4 and it would not require emailing or syncing the device.

Many web developers have spoken out on the internet and we all hope that Apple will ultimately remove that limitation they put in place. However it could be, that this was done on purpose to push more App development onto the iOS platform.
