up for sale is my minn kota maxxum 65lb electric motor. It is brand new and I have had it a while and never had the chance to mount it on my tinny. Circumstances have changed and i would now like to use the money to rustproof my hilux. user guide and mounting bolts and all bits and pieces are included and i will throw in 2 80 a/h batteries to any one who is interested. how long is the shaft on this?

Im not home right now and off the top of my head dont know but a mate of mine has the same one on his 4.75 tinny

is it freshwater only?

yeah it is recommended for freshwater. the rip tides salt water models have stainless hardware , sealed electrical connections and better paint having said that have heard of people using them in salt with no prolems as long as ya give them the proper maintenance. it would be interesting to know if any body on the forum has done this and had any problems.
