What should i do with these guys?

My brother gave me his fish tank and a couple of turtles to look after for him about 3 years ago. I'm in the process of moving houses and will be selling his fish tank for him but i'm unsure of what to do with the turtles.

I don't have a permit to keep them as i was only expecting to be looking after them for a few months, now the time has come where i no longer have the time or space to properly look after them but i don't know what to do with them.

I thought about releasing them into a local creek but am not sure if they would survive as they have lived in tanks most of their life or, on the opposite end if they would cause any harm to the creek system. Or if anyone on the forum with the appropriate permit would like them for free they can have them, They are 2 short necks (sorry don't know what breed) and approx 80-100mm diameter across the shells.
