New to Brisbane

Hello guys and gals. I have just moved here from down south. I'm use to chasing redfin, carp and trout at Lake Hume in Albury.

I have move here for work at Bunnings at Rocklea.

I am looking forward to learning all about the legendary Qld Fishing.

Awesome, a little bit of backup. We have a few roaches here, but not many....

You wont find redfin or trout up here. Plenty of carp tho.

Lots of bass, yellas and cod. And you have the plethora of saltwater species on your doorstep in the river, bay and offshore.

hey Taupe - Welcome to the site - not sure about the last comment but hey we will see who is laughing after the SOO series this year.

If you flavor is freshwater there is some awesome freshwater fishing in most local streams. I have been surprised myself how good it is and a little exploring can really pay off.

If you want to get into Salt water fishing, keep an eye on the going fishing reports and if you are lucky enough jump on board a boat when a"deckie Spot" is put up. You will not be disappointed.

Great way to get to know people is to attend the socials and comps. This is the way I have met people and I cannot count the close friends I have made on two hands.
