Blue Mountains Adventure (4wding/hunting)

Just got back from two weeks of what was meant to be a hunting trip but turned into a get lost and find my way back to the house holiday.

Decided a few weeks back to head down to the Blue Mountains where I was able to stay with some family friends. I recently got my R licence back which allows me to book a hunt in selected NSW State forests. So I took full advantage of it and booked the Jenolan state forest for 7 days.

Ended up doing stuff all hunting and a lot more 4wding, will let the pictures do the work.

A ute that decided to cross after watching me drive through, sadly for him who ever installed his snorkel did a poor job, and stalled halfway across. I had to winch him out, a mate then fixed his ute so he could drive home to Sydney.

A spotlight that nigh resulted in 8 Foxes. All very healthy.

The next trip was meant to be to "The Lost City" but it lived up to its name and I could not find it even with a map :dry:

so we ended up at "Garden Of Stones" did not take many photos of the track here.

I then managed to get a day of hunting in, which was ended with nothing, manage to stalk a nice stag for 2 hours before deciding it was better left with someone looking for a trophy.

Following day we got permission to go onto an Goldminers place that Leads up Mt Airly, this place tops my list of 4wd and scenic adventures. And how this olf fella managed to make these roads way back in the day is beyond me.

Was definitely an Experience.

I tried to get away to Texas Qld for the weekend, but could not find someone to come with.

In saying that you cant just take anyone onto property these days.
