queensland Live Baiting

Hey all

Basically just looking for any help to catch/net some live bait from the shore, preferably poddy mullet, as I haven't had a go since our boat was unfortunately sold.
I used to hit up luggage point for them but without a boat makes it near impossible for me.

Where do you fish normally mate?  They are quite often little schools of them to the right of the pontoon at the Whyte Island boat ramp.  Wherever you try, throwing some bread in and leaving it for a couple of minutes will only increase your chances.  Good luck!

Normally around Tingalpa creek and the Logan river but looking to head towards the north side and brissie river more

Another spot that might be worth a try is at Colmslie, in behind the hockey centre. There is a large T-jetty, a sandy beach and a pontoon.  I haven't been there for a while but have seen plenty of people casting nets off the pontoon.

Yeah I have seen a caught live bait at any of the jetties and boat ramps on the river. Colmslie, Fishermans island etc. bait varies from mullet, herring, biddies etc but most work

yes colmslie is good take some bread crumbs also soak them up and throw them in it will get them to  you a little quicker.brad
