queensland Kept Going At 50.npd 5/3/16

Went to NPD with Andrew and Mark this morning. We mucked around for a while repairing and relocating shrimp traps as the dam has dropped a bit since out last visit and Andrews pots had not been touched for 6 weeks.

We pulled up on one drop off and initially it looked barren on the sounder but when you looked closely there appeared to be some small fish hugging the bottom.

Lots of very small bass there but still good fun.

With some bigger ones mixed in with them.

 

 

And some plate sized yellas

 

 

This one did not enjoy being tagged as on release she just struggled on the surface so we sent her to the bottom on a dropper which seemed to do the trick.

Stopped on the same spot all morning/

Ended up with 9 yellas.Nest yella around 57cm.

10 forkies ( Eagles enjoyed some of them)

1 tilapia

1 spangled

90 bass under 30cm

59 legal up to 46cm.

Thanks for the deckie spot Ray, nice to get in to some fish. I have not been out much this year due to work and poor weather when I finally do manage a day off/
