Shimano R4000 And Telescopic Rod Questions

i purchased from aldi a 'shimano rod and reel combo' firstly asking about the reliability of the reel and what strength line comes spooled onto the reel. the line is a light green colour. also would you recommend this kind of rod for regular use.

Probably a cheap but honest setup. Odds are the line will be way to thick, it usually is on prespooled combo's. Peel it off and replace with some r4easonable 9lb  mono and you should have a nice little tool for fishing from the bank or a boat in rivers and estuaries with likely catch bream flathead etc..(or 12lb mono if you think flatties are more likely your common target)

my most common location is Lake Burley Griffin (for redfin) or Yass river for carp (1.5 to 3 kg range usually) but go down to south coast sometimes for whiting, bream and flatties ect, i tested breaking strain with a piece and broke at 3.4 kg, but the issue is thickness.

update: spooled some 10 ib braid and is extremely reliable, caught several large carp and redfin with it
