queensland Peel Island

I Got up at 2 this morning and headed down to raby bay and put the boat in for the first bit of good weather in some time. Was out at peel island fishing at 430 high tide was 5 am. As soon as we started fishing the fish were on I managed 4 keeper bream a few undersized sweet lip and 1 keeper Moses perch, when I pulled the perch in it spat out one of marks plastics he'd lost earlier. I caught  all my fish in pilchards mark got a really nice flat head and a couple of pike on plastics as soon as the sun was up the fish all disappeared we hung around till 930 and bailed as the run was getting too strong and we only had 1/4 ounce jig heads.. Now to wash the boat

Sounds like a fun trip, bud. What plastics were working for Mark? 

i really enjoy the early mornings on the water. It's relaxing to wake up with the cool air and smell of the water.

Using nuclear chicken 4 inch minnows, I was using zman grubs and minnows but it seemed they were getting the tails bitten off by pike.

Sounds like a successful trip. Good variety there. Funny about the fish spitting out the plastic haha.
