I am wanting to go fishing on the weekend and have no idea where to fish. Just wondering where people are catching fish in south Brisbane.

Tingalpa creek has loads of flatties on the right tide and hundreds of whiting at the mouth.
Wellington point jetty is good for most species, including tailor (in season),squid and sharks.

Norman creek can fish very well for bream, cod and flathead but you need to find a spot that you can get to which isn't overfished!!

Also manly boat harbour and out the from of manly can be home to tailor in season and theres a chance of a jack in the marina.

I would put your time into Tingalpa Creek , the far end of Railway Parade is a good spot to start for whiting, or plastics for flathead as long as you're moving up or downstream. 
North of the main boat ramp also fishes very well for whiting in the last two hours of the run out.

Wynumn jetty at low tide with a whole bully mullet on a 6/0 j hook with a sz10 ball sinker should get u a response from something (if tingalpa creek didn work out).. Ussully random strangers, yet to get a fish using this technique but persistence is the key I'm thinking
