queensland currumbin/tallebudgera sesh

me and chaz headed down to currumbin for the weekend. First day (sat arvo) we hit up currumbin creek fishing off the pilons, We were invited in by schools of mullet jumping right in front of our noses. Chaz immediately whipped out the cast net, First cast 7 solid 30 cm mullet, in total of the day we got about 22 sizeable mullet. Besides that we only caught one bream on a pilly... 23cm;) haha.............next day we hit up tallebudgera, Chaz chucks his first cast out with a weed grub berkley sp.... he hits something... as we are surrounded by rocks he suggests hes snagged........ he yanks it out.. still feeling some weight on the reel..... he reels it up and yells out holy crap i caught a starfish!!!!............he drops it and flips it over and realises he caught a massive octopus.....

after that we moved places and caughta few whiting ....... we then went home happy to catch some bull sharks on mullet at oxley.
