Braved a lightning storm monday arvo with a mate at broughton island  the storm blew us off our mark right on the witching hour..ended up with 13 reds  biggest 73cm   and 62cm

Just googled it to see where it is, stunning looking spot and very fishy looking. Those little bays are beautiful - can/do you camp on it at all?

you can camp in esmerelda cove  or on the long beach nth side  also western most beach coalshaft bay sth side...I usually run up bout 30nm a trip  ..plenty of shallow reef to fish burley an floaters...1 1/2 hrs drive from home but well worth it..we sometimes sleep on beach  but im a bit old school and sleep on the floor of my vsea with foam matress and tarp.lol...hate to wake up and find boat has pulled anchors and drifted off..rick

yeah  there are good spots all round the island also aquaculture kingie pens 4mile south of island always holds schools of middling size fish..plenty of reef also for trag .jews.and the marlin fishing is excellent...rick
