Cabbage Tree Creek - 4th October 2008

Hardly worth writing a report, but anyway. Fished off Baxters Jetty in Shorncliffe tonight, tried with some livies (herring) for no luck. Fished around for bream to pass time while waiting for the livies to go off, ended up with several small bream on chook gut. Still felt good, first fishies I've caught since my Bribie trip 2 weeks ago. Also castnetted some prawns, they tasted good as a midnight snack!

That is all.

Cheers,

Matt

P.S. Last couple of times I've been there the fishing has been very quiet & the water quite dirty, even on the run in tide. Noticed tonight as we were leaving that there was a sign up saying that the mouth of the creek is being dredged between August & November. Maybe that could have something to do with it, or maybe I'm just looking for an excuse for my poor fishing...
