No good news in that game for Titans fans except the 2 points. That second half capitulation against the Raiders last week seems to have drained the Titans of any form.  Some of the worst attack ever by both teams. And some of the worst refereeing I’ve seen for a while as well, but the refs were probably lulled into a trance by the boring attack and ridiculous errors. Let’s hope the standard lifts for the rest of the weekend.

We might not have won, but it was good knowing that followers of the Titans and also Warriors last week were given a mighty scare to be challenged so well by a team that only lost by bad luck; a team destined for the spoon this year.

Just doing a wellfare check on @ellicat after the tigers found a way to lose in one of the most bizarre/unfortunate sequences of play at CBUS last night.

Not much going on in the deeper water out at the dam, so decided to go for a walk and fish the shallows from the bank.I said to myself I will stay as long as I can and see what pain sets in first. Well the back won, I only lasted a couple of hours and was home before 9am. Managed several small bass and although I tried several lures, they were all caught on the one chatterbait.

Sorry was a bit slack with the reporting didn’t really take many photos , fishing was pretty good, went and got some livies and anchored up at boat rock. Hooked two good Spanish floating livies out the back, but landed none. One bit through my wire trace( was only using 40lb single strand) and the other pulled hooks. Plenty of nice reefies made up for it though. Just had to get past the kingfish. Got some great Moses perch nice and fat, kept a smaller kingfish for the smoker,  decided to call it early and go check my pots. First two pots had none, third one had seven and last one had two. It was a petty about the Spanish but I Was pretty stoked to have nine sandies and some good reefies and be back at the ramp before midday. Not bad for a solo session.

Fishing the river will be rubbish until it clears a bit. That could be weeks, even a month away, if we don't get any more rain.

Last week we hit a weather window at the Bunker group and found the Coral Trout on fire. They were good size and plenty of big Red Throat Emperor turned on too. Just 1 legal Red Emperor made the box along with Maori Cod, Moses Perch and Tuskies. The weather was exceptional one of the best trips ever for me.

Basiclly anywhere you can cast a soft plastic you can cast a fly.  
I fish for Bass in North pine and Kerwongbah form the edges or form a yak
 
Haven't bothered with fishing from the surf much, waves are a pain for fly line
Sand flats around Bridie Passage are great for whiting and flathead.
 
Go to a few fly fishing club meetings to get more info and hook-up with the experts

If its a traditional transducer without side scan, then it's shooting out a cone shaped signal, and the size of the cone depends on the frequency that you're running. As you can see in the image below, the depth displayed is never the actual depth below the boat, but the shortest distance between the transducer and the first return signal.
You will never get the transducer installed exactly plumb as the pitch of the hull varies depending on the boat speed, and roll changes depending on how the boat is loaded on the day. You're over thinking it. Just install the transducer pointing down when the boat is on the trailer. As long as its not out by 5 degrees or more, you are going to get decent readings.

at the 33 minute mark the Knight’s Barnett has a brain fart and gets sent off leaving his team to play the remaining 47 minutes with only 12 players.

24-24 at 80 minutes, the Eel’s run in a try in Golden Point to win.
With a host of key players missing the Storm will improve, on this…. given the players the Storm had missing, I’m not sure the same can be said of the Eels
