queensland Coral Trout Hot Bite

Last week we hit a weather window at the Bunker group and found the Coral Trout on fire. They were good size and plenty of big Red Throat Emperor turned on too. Just 1 legal Red Emperor made the box along with Maori Cod, Moses Perch and Tuskies. The weather was exceptional one of the best trips ever for me.

Fantastic haul Mark, well done. Would have been nice to be fishing in nice clear water after the brown water we have down here at present.

some thumping red throat in there, they would have played up a treat.  not sure how you managed to cope with those conditions.

Crystal clear water watching the colours of these beautiful fish appear was awesome.

Been a while for me to and I was running out of fish in the freezer it was a good top up.

These big RTE's pull hard you think you have a small Red Emperor on.

We couldn't get away from the trout while looking for other species it was a tuff problem to have.

I don't go with just a drinks Esky for a night or 2 and more than 100 km from the ramp. We had 60kg of ice to pack them in to.
