Today I went fishing at a campground near dotswood at a nice stream/river I used hardbodies for the first 40 minutes nothing I searched around and found a nice hole and seen a few fish Swimming around . kept switching lures until I got my zman slims swims out had a few cast and bang I seen a fish come out of no ware and smash my lure it was a decent fight was fishing for a 2-3 hours moved around a bit had a few breaks in between in total I caught 5 fish biggest one was 25cm and fought like if a bream and flathead had a baby . I’m having another break but will continue fishing in a hour or so and hope I can find some more spots on the river with more fish oh and btw all the fish were sooty Grunter

Atomic arrowz rods have a few inshore and jigging series . I have a bream series And it’s been great for the price best rod I’ll ever buy at $112 just a heads up though it will probably cost like $200 though for the bigger models . I haven’t used the heavier models but I have heard good things about them just like the bream series I got 10/10 would recommend

Suburbs Of Origin Is Back! Poll For Length Of Comp

Nice ok let’s hope I get some good action while I’m up at Queensland . Went fishing today for a hour around 8 o’clock in the morning fishing with 2.5 inch zman slim swim wasn’t paying enough attention and got a big bite but didn’t hook up .was fishing a river with a stream that has species like barramundi saratoga and Grunter. I pretty sure it was a barra but not sure . Very sad now as that was my only hit on a lure so far this trip the rest of the trip so far I was just using bait for carp/yellowbelly with no hook ups and barely any bites maybe 1 little bite -
Yea it’s very good forum with people that do all different types of fishing .fish different gear and know little to a lot of info on fishing .has been very helpful for my fishing and sure has been useful for others to

Usually I would be the south team cause I’m a nsw guy but I’m in north Queensland for a bit now so I guess I’m team north . Also is it team with biggest fish or team with most fish -
Yea can’t wait for it to come in that’s if it does came in I had a look at the website today but I’ll dig deeper tonight and find important information such if it’s a scam a knockoff or a one in a million miracle. If It’s a actual Stradic I’m gonna buy like 3 Stellas or Stradic for $150 that’s cheap as chips but I simply thinks it’s to good to be true as the website to me looks like the your average scam artists special

Since I seen favourite boating hack I decided what’s everyone’s favourite fishing hacks . I’ll list mine Hack 1 for people that tie the Alberto knot you can make it a lot stronger by going through the loop 3 times instead of 1 before pulling it tight or you can just do a regular alberto and put 2 half hitch’s on the braid either way it does the same thing and is stronger then the regular Alberto hack 2 wash your treble or single hooks on your lures after fishing freshwater or saltwater . This gets rid of any salt weed or mud on the hooks and keeps them free of rust hack 3 write down the fishing conditions what you used weather and anything else you can add .into a empty book and turn it into a fishing dairy this way you will be able to predict good fishing times for certain spots you regularly fish and helps with fishing overall . i know some of these aren’t really hacks there more tips but I have found them to be very helpful

Yea I hate dealing with anti reverse issues in reels their a few things that can make a anti reverse stop working . First thing is a bearing issue like you said which is a simple fix another problem could be a spring has snapped or gone missing depending on the anti reverse system or oil could have got in the anti reverse systems their the most common ones anyway . Ask the guy if he’s serviced the reel before or opened it apart and how old it is also ask how he or she maintained the reel hope that helps

Baitrunner/liveliner Vs Spinning Reels!
Brodie_S replied to AznVinc3nt's topic in Tackle, Rods and Reels
Yea I think a spinning reel would be better in that case as it’s a more simple design Has less things to go wrong with it and is more suitable for that type of fishing . Also if you decide to get the daiwa bg wait till the new model is in stores that recently came out as it’s better I think it will be in stores in a few weeks or so not sure it’s called daiwa BG MQ might want to check them out -
Should try using a 1-3kg rod with 6lb braid
-
Sounds good mate hope the reel goes well

Depends on what bait I’m using and fish I’m targeting but most of the time I’ll go for a offset for using baits like chicken fish yabbies or prawns but if I’m using baits like corn bread and dough I find a non offset is better in size 8-10 works better then a size 6-8 offset hook

Yea j thread is pretty good stuff but I find the quality is the same and fc rock is cheaper then j thread fc
-
Fc rock or daiwa j thread I’ve found is good . But I prefer fc rock as it’s cheap and durable
