Fish Attractants

Guys

whats everyones thoughts on the fish attractant sprays / pastes etc . Do they work? Does the stuff last? Are they worth it? What some good brands if any?

Do you get the same effect by drowning the lure / bait in tuna oil before casting?

Or is it marketing genius that simply lures a few more $$$$ out of the wallets of the unsuspecting fisherman ?

sometimes they work and sometimes they dont, have found the stimulate spray and the squidgy pro stuff to be good

A certain GUN yak fisho up at Noosa uses the "fish paste" attractent on his big bomber style lures, I use it, it's horrible smelly stuff that really stays on the lure even after washing it a few times..

He catches plenty of tuna etc so give it a go, it's always that little extra stimulant in the water!

i use the cheapest berley there is and it seems to work if anchored, yesterdays bread, thats it

For bass fishing the only time I use it is when the bass are bumping the lure all the time but not hooking up. Also when they follow the lure all the way in then turn away at last moment.
