Going to Colmslie tonight for a fish, Chasing Thread Fin and a certain DPI officer;) I'll be there from about 10pm till 3am ish.

I desided not to go, but after reading this I guess I'd better go:blush:

I'll only be useing dead baits, as I cant throw my new 12'nylon cast net, prick of a thing it is.

Oh well I'll be there around 11pm.

I'll let you know how I go, win or loose;)

Only thing biteing was the mozzies, Oh well was a beautiful night/morning. I tryed Colmslie for 2 hours with out looseing a bait, Then moved to Balimba for pickers, Didn't even get a good run.

I think I'm wasteing my time when the tide is running out and allready an hour or two turned. Time to start a Fishing diary I think. Try to get some type of pattern worked out.:dry:

Bad luck mate. That sucks. Maybe the others could let us know of some land based spots that are producing in the river at the moment?

Glad to hear that. I thought I was unco. I bought a new net and can't throw it either. I've resorted to using the old one......whats left of it:blink:

12 ft is pretty heavy

at least you will get a good pump throwing that around for half an hour

check out the utube videos on how to cast the net, heaps of good tips. Thats how I learnt.
