drop shot

Hey everyone, new to Brisbane so looking for the best places to fish, dont have a boat so looking for spots you can fish from shore, with drop shot or bait. Was a keen deep sea fisherman in South Africa, usally for Geelbeck, Cob, Garrick, Yellow Tail and Shad. Looking for spots on the river or even the bay or spots on the beach. Like to Fish drop shot and happy to fish with bait like mullet and calamari with a 6ft8 15-20 pound drop shot rod and a daiwa 3000 reel, with braid 15 pounds.

Sorry for the broad message but any bits of info will help me greatly.

it has a fair bit of info for brisbane/gold coast.. theres a mass of places to start from so you'll have no probs finding what you are after..

ALso make sure you keep your eyes on the Going Fishing and Fishing events section.

THis is a great way to meet some local fishermen and share locations and techniques.

For example there is a sharking social in the Brisbane River coming up at the end of the month you may be interested in.
