New to fishing and first time for my son

Hey Lyndon, welcome to the wonderful world of fishing B). Anyway, if you just head to your local boat ramp at roughly 2PM today when the tide's coming in you'll be in with a chance of a Bream. Use peeled prawns as bait and be sure to berley up with some bread - works a treat! Good luck, and enjoy it. I wouldn't go anywhere without shelter as you might get a bit too wet and your son might not enjoy it as much.

Once again, have a good time!

Gadgetman, Raby bay can be a good spot as there is a channel and plenty of little beaches there as well as Clevland point park. Fish light and as Tom said berley up. I use a coupl of peices of old bread, a handfull of sand and a bit of tuna oil. If you have any old bait throw that in too. If you have a feed of prawns keep the heads and shells as this is a bonus for berley. My prefered techneque for berley is a little often.

Enjoy
