if they are there, you can tempt one with whatever you are using to catch your jacks

yer im using live herring and live mullet and they seem to do the trick for jack but would they work for threadfin?

have caught threadfin on both live mullet and herring, dead mullet and herring....and strip bait. liv bait deffineately has a higher success rate. cheers

Live prawns, mullet & herring. If prawns are small, put a few on the hook!

heard of 1 or 2 stragglers in the coomera, might as well give it a shot, more in the logan/brisbane though

remember sept-feb is spawning season and consider that large fish over 1m are usually breeding females (same deal with large flathead/barra/etc) so consider what is best for this magnificent species
