Hmm fished off Wello quite a bit on my mates kayak, i seem to get mainly small grassies, tuskys and squire. Do you frequently catch snapper?

If work wasn't so bloody busy right now I would go for a trip with ya. Next time with a bit of luck. I might just go for a paddle on Sat morning and see whether I can find the banks for myself. How far do you estimate you paddle to you get there 2-3kms?

I might blow a morning next week sometime for a first up fish, depending on tides and weather if you are keen then?

Bavid 88, Was out there on tuesday and the guy I was with got a coupple of good ones plus a cod and taylor. I only got mainly small ones but I want to fix that this time

Billp, You dont need to go too far out. Pretty much to the end of the channel markers and then go either left or right. It ranges from 2-5m deep, Just need a sounder to find the dropoffs.

Wind looks good on tuesday but the tides are not much chop

Yeah that's where i usually go, out to the left. Every now and then get onto a decent legal tusky. No Snapper yet though. What bait are you using?

I might see how I feel at 5am or so on Saturday and give it a go.

All I use is trolled lures or plastics.

Trolling worked the best on tuesday, under a min to hook up normally

I'll be working tomorrow. But Monday looks good for me, if anyone wants to head out there for an early one
