Are Shimano spools interchangeable?

Hey Guys,

Just a quick one.

I have a Shimano Symetre 2500FJ I have tried chasing down a spare spool with not much luck one place said i could order it in but it was around $100 at that money I would rather have another whole reel!

I have seen spare spools on ebay but for shimano's other reels like the Sahara 2500FB would they fit onto the Symetre?

Im guessing probably not but hey its worth asking the question

As far as I know, reels manufactured for different markets not often have interchangeable spools. At least, it's very hard to get such information. But, if it comes to the reels made for the same local market, you usually can find some compatible variants... For example, as to JDM ones, there is easy-to-use online tool:
