double first

went down to Crosby yesterday with the intention of catching a bream on artificial.

had a 2.5gm sugar deep h/body, third cast got my first 26cm bream.

meanwhile, m8 next to me was on his first, using squidgies critters. he was getting hits every cast & onto his second shortly after, then another. thats when I decided on a soft plastic change.

within a few casts, I was onto my second, then another.

my tally was four bream, all around 26. one on h/b, three on s/p.

m8 caught six, biggest nudging 29cm, also two nice flatties @ 30cm+.

so, all in all, had a plan, & it worked. go figure..

was pretty much bouncing jig across the bottom with the current until the fish started to bite.

they were holding on a shallow drop off just where some rapids were.

there is a good flow now & from colleges up is full of water to the weir

the water these fish were caught was fresh water, or slightly brackish at best

yeah those blokes at BCF ippy are top fellas the chicks are good too:P its good when the staff are acctually fishos and know what there talkin about.
