Fish stocks in wivenhoe

Hey

i was just wondering what all the water releases from wivenhoe would be doing to the fish stocks in there and does will all this flooding affect fish in the general river system?

Also i wish everyone the best with this situation and hope that everybody is safe

I think you'll find that while a number of bass will make the big plunge, there won't be a mass exodus of bass from the dam.

If this was occurring around spawning time, then I would expect a large number of bass to leave the dam.

In the long run, the river below the dam will get a flush out, new structures and nutrients.
