have recently had a few live'ys "gutted" tried tying a piece of 30lb braid and adding a strong!!!!! but small treble pinned near the baits anal fin. seems like no loss in life span for the livey's (if your livey lasts it's life span your fishing in the wrong area) but it seems to double hook up rates
