queensland Mud Island Snapper Hit Up 2/5

With the weather looking good the old boy and myself decided to hit mud island up this morning. Got out there on day break and tried a couple of spots with no real size to any fish. At about 7.30 the wind was dropping off and the bigger fish we coming on. Found a nice bit of ground and this is where we dropped anchor and stayed for 3 hours, fish were coming onboard regularly with the bigger specimens coming all onboard within 2 minutes of each other at about 10am. Awesome day out with old man even though he did out fish me :S . Ended up with 8 snaps, 2 grassies, and a tailor. Bring on the colder weather should be a good snapper season.

Good to see whilst the closure was on i caught 18 legal snaps in an hour, now i stuggle with 4 an hour LOL. good stuff.

Awesome stuff mate. We were there this morning - got two 44cm squire and a 43cm bar tail flatty which we were pretty happy with, but seems things can get even better.
