fresh water shrimp on the sth side

guys just wondering where i can catch some fresh water shrip on the sth side of brisbane. i no i can get a good number from npd but is a little to for to travle after work. can someone shin a light on this for me please cheers kurt

I used to get them at Gould Adams Park on kingston road. Its scrubby creek. You can get carp, spangled perch and tillies there too

Yeah I did. It was a few years back so not sure what it is like now. I used to put the traps under a little footbridge which is past the main pond. If you park at the end of the carpark and walk down you will see it, unless its been taken away by floods lol There are a few pontoons there aswell. The water is very deep. Past the footbridge there are more ponds in bushland. Just be careful as the area attracts the odd tool, I wouldnt go alone

i know its a bit illegal but i use to get heaps out of Leslie Harrison dam some of them were up to 70 mm long. i fed them to my pet sleepy cod and barra.
