queensland My day on the water at wello.

G'day, First off it was a plesure to meet you Brian and Lozzel(true Gentlemen).

OK I got on the water about 3am I think, my first time in the dark:ohmy: , made it to the marker that I fish from and ancored up. Then I noticed the wind and waves, gotta tell ya it scared the crap outta me sitting out there in the dark bobbing around :pinch:.

Anyway The fishing was poor, I caught a lot of small bream, 1 keeper about 23.5cm.

I think my bait was a bit 2 big:S .

Was so happy to see the sun come up, piece of mind seeing whats around:P .

Ended up moveing to another spot and caught a couple of nice whiting. Then a BIG Grinner about 55cm and as thick as my wrist, after that nothing,

Moved back to the marker and had a go wth SP's, Happy to say caught my first fish on them, Pike were smashing them, got biten of once, no fight in it though just a tug and gone:angry:

Sorry guys no picies, but all in all a great day on the water, better than being in bed;) Oh and nice boat Brian, The AFO stickers look a treat. I'll have a couple next week:P

Cheers mate, you reminded me of something today. We should have a go at the winter whiting instead of always chasing the squire. Especially when you see sardins elbow slapper today.

Yeah mate forsure, I dont mind catching them, that was a very nice witing sardine's I would be very happy with that 1.
