If you find some nice herring, and you chuck em on a drop off, anywhere along the river im sure there will be some threayd's and jewy's hunting around, got a sounder?

Yeha they get very angry if you get to close, mate way down breaky creek goes down nicely, like near the boat ramp. pull off afew hours at night there and you will get afew.

Ive heard of Big Thready's and jewys being caught there... also some massive sharks..

If its a bit windy the wharfs opposite the comslie ramp are good for threadies and jew and there's good livies around the ramp and pontoon make sure to take atleast 40lb flurocarbon leader and i use atleast 1.5m of it to a 5/0 circle hook

good luck

get some live prawns from the poo shoot they work very well.

if you want lures, I've caught them on everything from darters to poppers to plain divers.

sometimes you see them feeding near the lights :)
