Best setting to use for HDS5 in the bay

Hey guys a have been going out in a mates boat which has a HDS5 50/200 (series 1).. Was wondering what are the best settings to use in the bay for this sounder.. Is it better to select the specific transducer or leave it as generic (whatever it comes set from factory) in the settings.. when it is set at generic you can also use 83mhz is that correct???

also has anybody upgraded the software to 4.1 did it make a difference

set the correct tranny casue then you can run duel beam in split view. I run mine in split view when i am drifting or seaching around slowly to see which is going to give the better pic im running a 83/200 hds 5. 200 is the text book norm for shallow water but play around and see what happens also ply with the colour pallet too as this can change what becomes more obvious too.
