I was fishing in the freshish water reaches of the Alligator river NT and a bloke came down and fished 10 odd mt's from me and started to catch Black Bream one after the other I was getting some bites on prawns etc

After awhile I striked up a convo and asked what the hell was he useing for bait His reply :silly: I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you lol

he then divulged his secret bait ( after a few beers :silly: ) bread crumbs some water and crushed Garlic mix it into a dough nead it on the hook and presto :woohoo:

It worked a treat :woohoo:

I must admitt I have not tried it here Dont Know why :pinch: forgot all about it :pinch:

but will give it ago this W/E and let you know the results

I have but I also mix a little fish oil in and I use a hand line off the jetty and no weight. One of my favourite forms of fishing. Sight fishing poor mans style.
