Last fished Brisbane area in 1975. Finally after 38 years I have returned. Favourite Fishing Location: Deep Water Bend (Pine River). Target Fish: 3-4kg School Jew. Technique: Two nights (after 7pm) before the full moon on an incoming tide, use squid only. Fish 20 mins (mid river) on the incoming tide, top of tide and 20 mins of outgoing tide before heading home. Average catch: 20-50 school jew.

Sounds like pretty amazing sessions. Sadly those days are long gone.

These days most people are lucky to encounter one jew in that system every half dozen sessions. Now days min size is 75cm and bag limit of 2 fish. I am yet to catch one. Haven't even caught a baby.
