I would think that sharks and rays would be different. Because most Stingrays are bottom feeders and eat scraps off a muddy bottom. (I did say most, not all). Where as Sharks feed at any level in the water column and eat live fish.

They taste entirely different, you dont see stingrays in fish markets etc. Shark is Flake and tastes alright if filleted correctly but stingray

True Fisher but they also sell Ray in fish shops, down south. It's called Hake.

I have had stamped ray before and no doubt in other forms, I gotta admit if I was at a restraunt and asked for a fish dish and they served that with a bit of garnish and a couple of chips etc I would give it a go. We all eat stuff that we dont know about, eg Hotdogs = lips'n'arseholes hehe.
