queensland Nth QLD, I've gone soft.

Just got back from a couple of days fishing with the old man back home. Should have taken more photos, but the camera was playing up.

First trip was Prossy river, I was in a yak for about an hour until I saw a bloody big croc, so jumped in the old mans boat after that. Not much happening fishing wise, with the old man getting a good thready, and we were both getting plenty of catties. Nice river, but whether its worth the 2 hour drive or not is questionalbe.

Second trip was spent playing around the front of Mckewans Beach, this was by far the best fishing session I have had this year, I ended up losing count of the fish after 20, the biggest pictured below was estimated at 70-80. Love sight casting for these fish over the shallows, you just can't seem to do this in Brissy.

Anyway, wish there was more photos, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Nice... Love chasing flatties in Nth Qld as they are often overlooked by fishos wanting to chase barra or jacks. Very ballsy of you to be kayaking in Nth Qld rivers...plenty of big toothy lizards getting about.
