queensland Whiting sesh 18/3

Managed to get the boat back up and running so decided to head down the pin today chasing a feed of whiting.

After a few early morning squalls and a shower while pumping yabbies, I anchored up and got into it. The weather cleared and only got better throughout the day.

Managed to scratch together a pretty good bag, 14 fish, 9 over 30cm. Few stonkers in there too, best went just under 39cm. Threw a flatty in for good measure.

Gotta love the miniature cutting board and filleting knife...

Thanks to ray as well for the offer of a decky spot if I hadn't managed to get the boat fixed. :kiss:

Nice catch Benno, I've been hunting around the Gold Coast for sizes like that with no luck, my thoughts are now to either head north up your way or have a crack out side of the seaway. Bloody frustrating it is so hard to find decent size whiting.
