Fun in the plastic toys

Had another great day out at the dam this morning. The bass started off quite slow but all of a sudden they really picked up and the fish were everywhere!!! I started off trolling a few lures and was catching a few but thought that they might want a rattle to stir them up so I changed to a jackall. Got a few bass on that but it wasn’t as good as usual so I went to a Damiki Napjaru (thanks heaps for all the lures Rob!) and for some reason they were going crazy for it!!!

After trolling with it for a bit and catching a few I started casting and got some more. Almost all of the bass scoffed the napjaru right down! I’m not sure why they liked it better; whether it was due to weight or rattle, something about it was making it more successful!

I then did some jigging but it didn’t produce too many bass so I began trolling again where I got more bass. They seemed to really like a cheap outback lure, quite like the flickershad (which is great as it’s even cheaper!). We did get a bit wet but who cares when you’re catching plenty! I can’t wait till I get my Ps as I would love to go again tomorrow but I think I should give Mum a break for a few days…actually make that just a one day break haha.
