Went to hornibrook bridge for a quick session about 8pm till 10 pm, tried my luck with plastics again and landed my first bream on SP. About 15 min later cast out and the front part of my rod ended up in the water:(. So this ended my plastics session now Im gonna have to get meself a new rod... ah well at least I caught my 1st bream.

how come your plastic didn't stay connected to your rod tip? usually if that happens you just wind your line back in feeling silly but you get to keep your rod intact.

That happens with 2 pieces unfortunately. Usually you can get them back though.

The rod snagged and the line cut. I might go have a look for it in the morning during Low tide.

how big was the bream you caught? and what sp were you using? what pound line and leader? good work i got my first bream on sp a couple of months ago up at noosa it sure is a good feeling.

It was about 22- 24 cm I didnt measure it as I just went for fun again, But I caught it on 8lb Braid line and 9lb leader, plastic I used was #3 squidgy wriggler color bloodworm on a Squidgy round head 1.5grm #4hook, they havnt let me down yet. As for my rod I went looking at low tide and just found the squidgy but no rod .
