queensland Hinze Western Arm16/6/15. Disapointing But Good.

We went to the western arm this morning because there was a bit of wind forecast. We were disappointed with the number of shrimp in the traps. The dam has risen since our last trip and I think that the pots were in too deep so we relocated them closer to the edge.
The good part was that the bass were hungry and ate everything presented to them.

Most of the bass were in the high 30s with a couple around 20cm and Hai picked up a fat stubby.

We ran out of bait by 9am and ended up with 32 bass.

The fishing has improved a lot since the dam has risen for us lure fishos, the bass have been feeding hard up in the freshly flooded grass and timber. Will try put a report up soon. I Had a shocker last weekend and pulled hooks on most fish i hooked so no report.
