Fishing At Shorncliffe Pier

it has been fished heavily for many many years (the only break it had was when it was all closed off for replacement a few years back)

bread and butter species like bream are the most common catch. Rays, shovel nose and the occasional shark are also caught there. On even rarer occasions, a jew or threadfin will swim by...but not very often at all. Tailor can run through in the colder months, but not a great hotspot for them.

Depends what your chasing mate, in my opinion....you are better off going around the corner from the jetty and throwing baits or lures at the trawlers in the creek.

the area can produce a few fish on the day, it`s a matter of trying a few different times of the tide for the results.

Also wise to cast at the water, some trawler crews have no sense of humour :P
