Biting Midges

Hi Guys,

I've been fishing at Deep Water Bend a bit lately and have been savaged by biting midges.

Hoping for some tried and trusted midge repellent or solutions that also wouldn't hamper the fishing.

Bushmans, the green bottle. If you're worried about the smell passing off onto your bait, get the aerosol can. Lather it on before they start, don't wait till you feel them biting.

Never tried it but have heard that there is an Avon product that is supposed to be the bomb. Apparently very easy to use and without the nasties that is in most of the others that work.

Good old fashioned rid. Coat self before leaving home, wash hands thoroughly. Works as well as bushmans. I feel much better putting something on my skin that doesn't corrode plastics...

Ok, good to see plenty of options that work. I reckon I've got about 100 bites from last weekend and that was within 2 hours.
