want to catch my first ever mangrove jacks i am restricted to fishing from the bank

please any tips and or locations for me to flick some lures would be much appreciated

around Pimpama, Gold coast or Jacobs well

Hi mate, not saying you won't catch jacks at all, but they are usually caught around summer (the warmer months) Coomera weir is amazing for jacks. Maybe hit it up see what you can come up with.

Gold coast canals. Any of them with livies is a start. 

Jacks are around in winter but I would wait till it warms up for better results.

This was nearly 30 years ago, but late night under Barneys point bridge (north side) at Tweed used to regularly work for me. Incoming tide on hot summer nights.

I'm keen to fish some livies in the Manly boat harbour. My friend caught a stack of golden trevs there 2 or 3 weeks ago.
