what do you guys if any clean the black sooty crap deisel smoke leaves behind mine blows heaps of black smoke thats sticking to my white boat,and is there stuff that prevents it from sticking to the boat?

I found the cheapest and best thing for cleaning my white boat was toilet cleaner. Use some on a soft scourer, wipe over, then come back a few minutes later and clean off.

Black spray paint gets it off.... or at least you can't see it

A mate uses spray engine starter like Nulon "Start Ya Bastard". I used it the other day and it was... ok

Truck wash does a pretty good job but if it is porous it will need buffing out. 

My same mate says you can put a wax on it that stops it being porous. I don't have a brand for you sorry.
