I went to NPD this morning with Jason and Phoebe of the blue rod fame.

 Phoebe soon got stuck into the fish till she lost the top runner of her famous blue rod which slowed her down for all of 30 seconds.

Phoebe baited her own hooks and unhooked all the bass she caught but wisely delegated the forkies to Jason.

Phoebe and Jason had boated 18 bass before I was able to fluke one.

We were on to a nice little bite in 17 feet of water until the sounder lit up red and we boated 6 forkies in a row which percy and the 2 sea eagles appreciated.

The bass were only small with the majority of them between 30 and 34cm but at least they outnumbered the forkies by 2 to 1.

Did a bit of a good Samaritan deed with a newbie yakker a fair way down the dam. He had placed his drinking water in the bow hatch and found that he was unable to reach it and was fairly distressed from the heat. Gave him a few hints on where to troll and referred him to AFO .

Final tally 26 bass ,1 tandan and around 12 forkies.

Had a yarn to Barry back at the ramp and found that he has been cleaning up on the redclaw with the secret being pots in shallow in submerged grass and left in overnight.

Nice one mate. Some great pics there. Nothing better than seeing kids catching fish. I hope you can repair the blue rod for Phoebe, I hate loosing a lucky rod.  I am heading to Melbs this weekend so no fishing for me.
