Hi, I am keen to get into Kayak fishing although I suspect the dream is greater than the reality

but in researching it I am struggling to understand the best startup requirements and the price I can expect

Also where is the best place to buy one

any help appreciated

if there was no other diference whatsoever the 4m one would be faster than the 3m one even if it weighed more there is an equation that goes something like speed = 1.3times the square root of the waterline length of the vessel there is other contributing factors but this is the base for displacement boats however when getting close to the top speed you need more and more power to increase a fraction of speed :S hope this wasnt to confusing

This is one good reason to buy a Kayak, imagine how long it took to bring in,

http://www.bcf.com.au/index.aspx?ctrl=DETAIL&PicId=1219&path=multimedia/bragboard/index

Sorry I was going to attached the file but it did leave all the info on it

It was on the BCF Brag board, a 78kg Black Marlin caught on a Hobie Kayak

It probably toed him around for a couple of hours (reminds me of that movie "Old man of the sea" I think that was the name of it

Anyway, I would be happy to catch a big Mangorve Jack in a kayak let alone this monster
