Shrimp on the gold coast?

Does anyone know where to purchase live shrimp on the gold coast for a session of bait fishing.We are trying to get the wife her first bass on Hinze on Saturday Morning. Or where to throw out a trap?

SW yabbie should do the job and they r very easy to get down at GC

You actually aren't allowed to use any bait that is not indiginous to the dam kev but they do work a treat on the bass mate. Used them alot in my time in NSW.

Bretto whats your closest pet shop? If you dont need huge numbers thats usually the best bet. And at hinze 10 or so should gauruntee a bass.

Yeah 90% fo them sell shrimp or yabbies as feeders (just make sure they are legal yabbies not red claw).

Yabbies work at Hinze as well. Keeps the banded grunter away as well usually.

ive found that most pet shops in brissie re-stock their live shrimp every thursday and are normally sold by friday lunch might be worth phoning around first save you going to the shop

Hi Bretto,

Sorry for the late reply but, yes shrimp work a treat out at the Hinze.

I normally go to this aquarium to get shrimps (they normally have large ones also) Aquariums Alive, Tibbings St Nerang

5527 3545. When you are there check out the Mangrove Jack they have in their big tank, she's awesome, and getting bigger evertime I go to the shop. Also this shop is very friendly and helpful, I prefer going there over the bigger retail shops.
