queensland mud snap

had the day off on Thurs so headed out into the river and the bay. Spent a couple of hours throwing plastics around Mud island for a snapper. Was very quiet really, with no alot of bait around and not many fish. I didn't catch any unders and only got the one legal, 71cm 4.02 kg on 3kg mono. Also caught a couple of tailor 37/38cm. Came back into the river after dark and there was planty of bait along the drop offs and some good arches, but I couldn't get any mullet or herrings for bait, just a few boneys. Set them for a couple of hours in two different spots and also threw lures while they were soaking, but no hits.

Anyway, happy with one good fish.

Mate id be very hapy with that. Its fantastic seeing fish like that from inside. Well done.
