Hey guys, great site. I'm new to this whole fishing thing (makes a great getaway from living and workin in the Valley) and was wondering if there's any good spots close to the Valley worth throwing a line?

Welcome to the site Rhyno, mate I dont no to much about the fishing over that way but from wat I hav read and the pics I hav seen on this site, the Brissy river would be your best shot.

Thanks very much mate. Any parts in particular better than others? I live just near the story bridge, but I've heard it's all catfish and bullsharks? Breaky creek sounds popular too?

Hi Rhyno, you should check the reports for Newstead, Breakfast Creek and even Kangaroo Point. Good fish ccaught at all sites although I don't get to them much myself.
