Evans Heads

Im off to Evans Heads next week for some relaxing days. Does anybody know about fishing the rock wall there or any good tips for the area?. Any help would be great as im only there for 3 days. Thanks, Steve

The Harbour is always an option, near the mouth of it on the eastern side its not bad along that whole wall. towards the mouth theres a big "S" bend and on the southern side theres a big hole, you can fish the north and south walls at the mouth. off the rocks around the bridge is worth a try too, maybe at night with the lights and all.

also near the bridge theres a pontoon at the ramp.

Havnt been there for a few years, but i remember it being a bit up and down there with all the fish kills and all, im assuming all that rain has dirtied up the river so maybe down the mouth will be the shot. There is also what the locals call a "training wall", a rock wall that forms a mini bay near the caravan park on the northern bank. worth a shot. I read in BnB that there were a pack of hammerheads up the river about a month ago :laugh:

I spoke to my mate who is already there, they have been filling the crab pots and the weather has been alright. None oft them are into fishing like i am so they could not tell me if the fish are biting. I will give an update on thursday

id say the crabs would be firing given the amount of rain they had down there, and the moon is not bad
